The idea of creating a museum for the artist was born from the SEMJASE Music School and Children’s Shelter, which he himself founded here on the border—number one!

With management and development led by the Aguilera family; the museum director, Architect Felipe Rojas Portillo; the Casa Juan Gabriel team; and the support of the Municipal Government of Ciudad Juárez, it was possible to ensure that, in every corner of what was once his home, visitors can learn the story of how Juan Gabriel’s house was transformed into a museum that celebrates the life and work of one of Mexico’s most talented and beloved composers.

Through the experiences offered and a one-of-a-kind collection, you’ll discover the deep connection between the artist and this border city, since Mr. Alberto Aguilera participated actively in the museum project, which preserves and respects his essence.
